A leading voice of objective straight, non-therapeutic chiropractic; his "Chiropractic Philosophy" and companion texts articulated a subluxation-centered, non-therapeutic model for practice.
Joseph B. Strauss (d. 2023) taught chiropractic philosophy at the Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic (formerly ADIO Institute) from 1978 to 1994 and served as its president in 1980–81. One of the profession's most prolific authors, he wrote 25 books.
