  • Recite the four basic components of ART treatment protocols.
  • Summarize the cellular response to ART treatment on soft-tissue structures.
  • Compare healthy and unhealthy tissue utilizing hands-on palpation techniques.
  • Identify a muscle or soft-tissue texture, tension, movement and function through palpation and patient assessment.
  • Palpate 59 anatomical soft-tissue structures within the upper extremity, using an appropriate tension, depth, and motion to properly perform the treatment protocol.

Target audience

Practitioners seeking ART certification to detect and treat soft-tissue anomalies and dysfunctions of the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and surrounding structures.

Prerequisites

Completion of online preparatory materials including review of gross anatomy, ART Diagnostic Algorithm, treatment methodology, protocol instructions, and a pre-credentialing exam.

Schedule

Friday: 7:30am–6:00pm (Introduction, Forearm, Wrist, and Hand); Saturday: 8:00am–6:00pm (Upper Arm and Shoulder); Sunday: 8:00am–12:00pm (individual testing in 20-minute increments)
