Autor von „Essential Principles of Chiropractic“ (1984), einem weit verbreiteten Lehrtext, der die Chiropraktik-Philosophie für Generationen von Studenten systematisierte.
Virgil V. Strang (1926–1998) schloss 1951 an der Palmer School of Chiropractic ab und lehrte dort fast fünf Jahrzehnte — als Dekan für Philosophie und ab 1994 als siebter Präsident des Palmer College. Er wurde international als Chiropraktik-Philosoph bekannt.
