• Explain the neurophysiological mechanisms and clinical rationale for the use of dry needling in the management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pain conditions.
• Demonstrate safe and effective dry needling techniques using accurate anatomical landmarks while adhering to established safety and infection control protocols.
• Identify and implement proper safety procedures, including aseptic technique, prevention and management of adverse events, and compliance with OSHA and professional standards.
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of single-use dry needling needles in accordance with sharps safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and applicable state and local requirements.
• Integrate dry needling into a comprehensive chiropractic treatment plan, including patient education, informed consent, documentation, and clinical decision-making for common conditions such as low back pain, headaches, shoulder dysfunction, and myofascial pain syndromes.

Must be a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic or a student in an accredited DC program. Level I must be completed before taking Level II (Level I may be taken alone).
